No, because you can’t win if you quit. Pouting never worked for me as a child and I take pride in my ability to find loopholes in almost any system/institution/game. In the game scenario, though, I’d probably cheat. The trick is just knowing how to cheat better. 

Think about it this way: If someone steals something from you, do you whine about it or do you take back what is rightfully yours? And which causes more fatalities: cancer or homicide?
